Korea's leading AI startup Upstage (CEO Seong-Hoon Kim) announced on the 18th that its LLM model 'SOLAR' (hereinafter referred to as Solar) has been registered as the main model in 'Poe', a global creation AI utilization platform.
Upstage Solar is an abbreviation for 'Specialized and Optimized Llm and Applications with Reliability'. Upstage developed Solar based on its No. 1 hugging face model that surpassed ChatGPT.
Poe is operated by global knowledge service Quora and is a global representative creation AI platform that allows you to communicate with various AI models and create your own chatbot by entering desired prompts. Poe is gaining more attention as it allows the use of thousands of generated AI models, including models created by individuals as well as famous LLM models.
Through cooperation with Poe, Upstage's Solar has been registered as a main official model with high accessibility as it can be viewed directly on the main page. As for Poe's main model, only four companies' LLMs, including OpenAI ChatGPT, Google Farm, Metarama, and Entropic Claude, are on the list and are evaluated as the standard for high-performance models. The addition of Upstage Solar's main model is the first domestic LLM model to be recognized for its performance comparable to that of the world's best generative AI companies.
