Upstage, Celebrating reaching 100,000 AskUp channel friends within 1 week of launch, 100 free replies per day event extended for another month
CONTINUED IMPROVEMENT WORK TO OVERCOME CHATGPT LIMITATIONS THROUGH PROCESS OPTIMIZATION AND OCR RECOGNITION RATE IMPROVEMENT UPDATES
“WE WILL CONTINUE TO DO OUR BEST SO THAT MORE PEOPLE CAN UNDERSTAND AND UTILIZE THE PROS AND CONS OF AI IN THEIR DAILY LIVES.”
(Upstage = 2023/3/13) AskUp, 'Chat GPT with eyes' developed by Upstage, a leading AI startup in Korea, surpassed 100,000 KakaoTalk channel friends within a week of launch.
To commemorate the 100,000 AskUp channel friends on the 13th, Upstage will extend the 'Question and Answer' event, which was supposed to be held until the 16th, until the end of March. 'Question & Answer' is an event where users who have added KakaoTalk AskUp channel as friends can use 100 messages a day for free.
AskUp is a KakaoTalk artificial intelligence chatbot developed by Upstage by combining its own OCR technology based on OpenAI's ChatGPT. When a user takes a picture of a document or transmits it, 'Nundalin ChatGPT', which can read, understand, and respond to the contents, recorded 30,000 channel friends in just three days after launching on the 9th, drawing attention.
Since AskUp recently started a 100-question-answer event, an average of more than 20,000 channel friends per day have increased, proving its enthusiasm by ranking second in the KakaoTalk channel friends' rapid increase for 4 consecutive days. Considering that channels that hold events such as KakaoTalk emoticon events usually rank first or second in the rapidly rising rankings, AskUp has become the best KakaoTalk channel that grows only through word of mouth based on its convenient usability.
Blogs and community posts that share the introduction and use of AskUp also exceeded 200 by the 12th, and the public's interest in AskUp, 'Chat GPT with eyes' is gradually increasing. Upstage plans to continue AskUp's 100-question-answer event so that more people can access new AI technology and use the convenient chat GPT smoothly.
In addition, Upstage applied an optimized process over the weekend to further increase users' usability, more than doubled the response speed of AskUp and further improved the OCR recognition rate through UpOCR tuning. In addition to this, in order to prepare for usage of more than 100,000 people, discussions were held with OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT, to increase the daily usage limit of ChatGPT to respond to traffic in advance. Upstage plans to continue updating on a daily basis to improve the limitations of generative AI, such as hallucination of ChatGPT and providing inaccurate content due to difficulty in reflecting real-time information.
Upstage plans to go one step further from developing technology for AskUp updates and sharing technology as a representative AI startup by disclosing prompt codes that implement the function. Upstage sympathizes with the flow of AI research that has developed based on the smooth sharing of information, and decided to share prompt engineering know-how according to Upstage's mission of 'making the world a better place with AI'. Among the prompt codes for functions to be added in the future, the main codes will be released through a notice on the main page of the Upstage website (https://www.upstage.ai/).
Seonghoon Kim, CEO of Upstage, said, “I am very happy that AskUp is receiving a lot of love from 100,000 channel friends in just one week.” We will do our best in the future to make good use of it.”
