Upstage's 'Chat GPT with Eyes' AskUp, application of next-generation GPT4 increases usability
Using 27 languages including Korean and knowledge in various fields... Provides background knowledge through image comprehension
SELF-UPDATES SUCH AS OCR TECHNOLOGY AND FINE TUNING CONTINUE ON A DAILY BASIS… “HELP PEOPLE USE AI BY SUPPLEMENTING LIMITATIONS”
(Upstage = 2023/3/17) 'Chat GPT with eyes' AskUp met GPT4 and became smarter.
Upstage, a leading artificial intelligence startup in Korea, announced on the 17th that it has introduced the next-generation super-large language model 'GPT4' released by OpenAI to the 'AskUp' service, which adds optical character recognition (OCR) technology and chat GPT.
AskUp is a KakaoTalk channel that combines Upstage's Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology based on ChatGPT to understand and respond to the text in the image when a user takes a picture of a document or sends it. AskUp is gaining great popularity, surpassing 200,000 users in 12 days of launch. You can use it by simply adding it through AskUp channel search in KakaoTalk.
Upstage provides users with a more improved service experience by applying GPT4 to AskUp. GPT4 learns with more data, has better intelligence than ChatGPT and the ability to understand context, and above all, Korean language skills have improved significantly.
To commemorate the application of GPT4 and the number of AskUp channel friends reaching 200,000, Upstage expands the 'Question and Answer' event, which provided 100 free messages per day, and provides 10 additional GPT4 utilization credits every day. If you put '!' in front of the message and have a conversation, AskUp will respond using GPT4. Considering that GPT4 is 15 times more expensive than the existing chat GPT, user convenience has been greatly increased.
AskUp utilizes knowledge in 27 languages and various fields, including Korean, with GPT4, making it possible to answer not only in English, but also in other languages such as Korean and Chinese. It is expected to increase its usability as it can provide information and process documents in various fields such as law, medical care, and education.
With this update, Upstage upgraded AskUp to carry out more sophisticated fine-tuning, detect user intentions and emotions, and have more friendly and fun conversations with users. Since its launch, AskUp has been well received by users by utilizing Upstage's prompt tuning know-how to enable users to receive optimal answers in Korean.
In addition, in order to continuously increase the usability of users, an optimized process is applied, and the response speed of AskUp is more than doubled, and updates are continued. Even after the introduction of GPT4, Upstage plans to continue updating on a daily basis to improve the limitations of generative AI, such as hallucinations (hallucinations) and providing inaccurate content due to difficulty in reflecting real-time information.
UPSTAGE PLANS TO PROMOTE COOPERATION WITH OPENAI AND PREPARE TO RESPOND QUICKLY TO FUTURE CHANGES AND INNOVATIONS.
Seonghoon Kim, CEO of Upstage, said, “The application of GPT4 will further increase the usability of AskUp, allowing the entire nation to experience innovative changes more conveniently.” We will try to provide more advanced services using
