Upstage (CEO Sung-Hoon Kim, www.upstage.ai ) announced on the 11th that it published two papers at the European Computer Vision Conference (ECCV) 2022. ECCV is considered one of the world's most prestigious artificial intelligence conferences along with the International Society for Representational Learning (ICLR) and the International Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition Conference (CVPR).

The ECCV conference, which is held every two years, is a top-tier conference with less than 30% paper acceptance rate. A total of 5,150 papers were submitted at the ECCV 2020 held in 2020, of which only 1,360 papers, or 26%, were accepted. As a result, Upstage presented papers at all three major AI conferences this year, reaffirming that it is the best AI technology company.

The two papers published by Upstage are a study on the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) character recognition model and a paper on the learning strategy that is the basis of machine learning.

The first paper applied multi-modal technology that recognizes both linguistic and visual elements at once when AI recognizes text in a photo, and achieved research results that achieved higher performance than existing text recognition models that mainly used visual elements. The second is a research paper on a customized learning strategy that uses a pre-learned model to solve problems that occur when applying a specific field.
