• Upstage, Naver 'Boost Camp AI Tech' recruitment program for about 5 months

• AI TOP EXPERTS, LARGE NUMBERS OF KAGGLE MASTERS PARTICIPATE, DESIGN PROGRAM DETAILS DURING THE PERIOD AND PROVIDE HANDS-ON MENTORING FOR PARTICIPANTS

(2020/11/18= Upstage) 'Upstage (CEO Kim Seong-hoon, www.upstage.ai )', a startup to accelerate corporate AI transformation, collaborated with Naver Connect Foundation (Chairman Gyu-chan Cho) to focus on practical AI fields Participate as an operator of the educational program 'Boost Camp AI Tech'.

'Boost Camp AI Tech' is a specialized program focused on AI education of 'Boost Camp', a practical SW intensive training program that the Naver Connect Foundation has been running since 2016. Naver Connect Foundation's hands-on training proved its expertise as about 83% of the students who completed 'Boost Camp 2019' last year grew into working developers. Therefore, 'Boost Camp AI Tech' is also expected to be a place to nurture leaders who will play an active role in the AI field after graduation and lead the advancement of the domestic AI industry.

Recruitment of participants for 'Boost Camp AI Tech' is conducted on the Naver Boost Camp website, and a total of 250 participants will participate for about five months from January next year.

Upstage, participating as the operator of 'Boost Camp AI Tech', is an AI transformation startup, including global AI scholar, former Naver AI head CEO Kim Seong-hoon, and Naver Visual AI / OCR team CTO Lee Hal-seok and the world's best translator Papa. It was established by Park Eun-jung, CSO, who led the modeling team of Go. Since its launch in October, Upstage has been focusing the attention of all IT fields as well as the AI industry.

The 'Boost Camp AI Tech' curriculum focuses on developing the competency of project and team engineers applying AI to services. In this regard, it deals with the basics and applications of computer vision, natural language processing, and recommendation systems, which are the most used in business, and does not stop with theory, but also conducts lectures on practical projects in each domain. In particular, it will provide an opportunity to build solid AI practical experience, such as creating a deployable-level AI model, and plan to help participants strengthen and grow their capabilities by directly reviewing the results of their practice.

THIS PROGRAM IS OFFERED BY UPSTAGE AND KOREA UNIVERSITY, PROFESSOR SEONG-JUN CHOI, DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL MANAGEMENT ENGINEERING, GACHON UNIVERSITY, PROFESSOR SEONG-CHEOL CHOI, UNIST GRADUATE SCHOOL OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, PROFESSOR LIM SEONG-BIN, KAIST GRADUATE SCHOOL OF AI, PROFESSOR JAE-GUL JOO, POSTECH DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRONIC AND ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING PROFESSOR TAE-HYEON OH, KAIST GRADUATE SCHOOL OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE PROFESSOR SHIN-JEONG SHIN, AND OTHERS. PRACTICAL EXPERTS DEALING WITH AI AND MASTERS OF THE GLOBAL AI CHALLENGE KAGGLE WILL JOIN TOGETHER TO FORM A CURRICULUM AND GIVE LECTURES.

IN ADDITION, NAVER AI PARTICIPATES IN THE DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROJECT PROCESS, AND IT IS EXPECTED TO BE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR PARTICIPANTS TO DEVELOP THEIR CAPABILITIES AS THEY CAN IMPLEMENT AI MODELS USING THE LARGEST DATASET IN KOREA.
