Upstage's 2022 Year-end Party Stage is packed with stories of stars . We received a questionnaire about upstage stars looking back on the year, memorable things, and stories to express our gratitude to those we were grateful for. Based on this, the contents of the party stage have been fully filled.

The upstage party hut in Gathertown, where the online year-end party was held, was also decorated in a cute way. Various activities were possible depending on the event in the party hut, which consists of a yard, lounge, main hall, and restaurant . Before the full-scale party started, we all did a treasure hunt in the yard.

It was an event to find hidden treasures by checking under trees or rocks in the yard. A small prize was provided to the stars who found the treasure, but there was also an incident where the show closed early due to the fast-footed stars. Afterwards, we gathered in the lounge on the 1st floor to chat before the party started, and finally the party stage was held! 🎉

Part 1 - CEO Sung Kim's 'Sung's Letter'

The first opening of the 2022 Year-end Party Stage of a full-fledged upstage was opened by CEO Sung Kim with the 'Sung's Letter' time to look back on the year . As the groups were formed in advance, everyone gathered in the main hall on the 2nd floor and took their seats by team. We were able to look back on the efforts and results of the stars during the year, encourage each other, and strengthen our resolutions for the new year.

Part 2- Ups Radio 'Second Christmas'

Ups Radio, which started with the stories of upstage stars, was hosted by Dongsimnim and Sophie, who are in charge of upstage tension and voice, as DJs. The atmosphere of the party stage was able to live up to the fullest by showing passion from the start!

In 2022, what were some of the memorable moments of the stars?

As the first story, the so-called 'Sung Kim Sabi Challenge' , which was started by CEO Sung Kim to take care of the health of upstage stars, was introduced. It was a challenge to present the latest wireless earphones at Seong-Kim's own expense if you select one of the push-ups/wide chin-ups/split squats and complete 100 of them. In the second half of last year, as part of the Sung Kim Sabi Challenge challenge, they were given the opportunity to complete the full marathon course, and there were some who succeeded in taking on the challenge. Upstage's healthy culture that considers the health of its employees stood out.

The moment when ‘ Document AI ’, which included the efforts of many stars, was shared internally for the first time was also selected as a memorable event. Upstage Document AI is scheduled to be released this year as an integrated solution that helps create, deploy, manage, and improve AI engines that automatically extract information that needs to be extracted for each document from captured document images. In addition, we were able to reminisce about meaningful moments through cookie photos commemorating the first recurring sales, which are not a one-time event but are repeated every month.

Photos capturing the stars' funny episodes are also essential. 😁 In the first offline sports event 'All-Star Game: U Play' held last July, in the “Speak with your body” game, Kyung-min recreated the Sailor Moon pose as it is, and it was said that he was impressed. Thanks to Kyungmin who reenacted the famous scene at that time, laughter bloomed on the party stage.

In addition, several teams' workshop photos were introduced, but among them, the refreshing Jeju Island workshop photo of the team that was devoted to developing Document AI was impressive. In particular, Jae-ho, who is working remotely in the United States, also joined the Jeju Island workshop and was able to gather as a whole. Perhaps that's why the photos bring out even more joy.

In addition, the presentation of CEO Sung Kim, who was invited as the only Korean speaker in the Tech track at the World Knowledge Forum (WKF 2022) , was a big event that could not be missed in 2022. The World Knowledge Forum is a forum where influential figures from around the world, such as Ban Ki-moon and David Cameron (former British Prime Minister), are invited as speakers, and Seong-Kim drew the audience's attention with an impressive lecture on "No Code AI" . .

Next, the “2022 Upstage All-Thanks” corner was held to convey the feelings of gratitude that could not be expressed to the stars.

Part 3 - Lunch Stage

Upstage, where the full remote work system is applied, is a “backstage” where employees matched by an algorithm created by CEO Seong-Kim once a week and chat while drinking coffee 1:1, and once a month, each employee matched by an algorithm. Due to the “Bob Stage” program, where 4 stars from different teams eat together, it is familiar to meet, talk and eat with stars not only offline but also online.

At this party stage, each group sat together at a restaurant in Gathertown and had a happy end-of-year lunch while sharing stories that had not been told so far. It was more fun and special to see the characters gathered together in Gathertown.

Part 4 - Fun & Play 'Quiz Quiz Quiz'

Upstage parties and events in the afternoon! Hosted by Hani and Nayeon, who come to mind, we had a fruitful quiz program together. Seung-nim and Su-won, who used ChatGPT, which has recently become a hot topic, and left a witty backstage authentication shot, won the first place of honor. With this, we were able to wrap up the end of the year in a rich and warm way thanks to the stars who filled up the path that Upstage has taken over the past year and the stories within it.
